The Charging Speed of the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+

The next Samsung flagships, Samsung's Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+, are expected to be unveiled in January 2025. But that's not what we are going to discuss in this article. Here, we are going to walk you through the charging capacity of the Samsung smartphones.

The 3C certification in China has revealed a somewhat disappointing detail for people looking for faster charging capacity: the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ will not see an improvement in charging speed. Although, the previous models of Samsung are fast during charge, but for people expecting faster charging, it's a disappointment. Both phones will offer the same maximum charging capacity as their previous models, meaning there won't be any upgrades in this area for users looking for faster charging times.

That's to say, with USB-C, the Galaxy S25 will charge at up to 25W and the Galaxy S25+ will go up to 45W.

It's also important to know that both the Samsung's Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ are currently on a very slow march through various regulatory authorities across the world, receiving certifications. Meanwhile, wireless charging speed isn't revealed through the 3C certification unfortunately, so we'll have to keep on waiting for those details to be confirmed.

Samsung Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ Charging Capacity

Earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra received approval from China's 3C authority, and now the Galaxy S25 and S25+ have followed suit. According to the 3C database, the Galaxy S25 will support 25W fast charging, while the S25+ may offer 45W rapid charging, similar to their predecessors.

Both phones will retain the same charging capabilities as the S24 series, and no chargers will be included in the retail packages. The S25 is expected to have a 4,000mAh battery, the S25+ a 4,900mAh battery, and the S25 Ultra a 5,000mAh battery. Notably, the S25 Ultra may also feature satellite connectivity and all models will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.
